Identity in Christ
If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you have a new identity. These truths aren’t just for someone else, they’re for you and me. Read these first-person statements rooted in Scripture, and let them remind you of who you are in Christ. You can even add to this list as you discover more!
1. Matt. 5:13, I am the salt of the earth.
2. Matt. 5:14, I am the light of the world.
3. Matt 10:30, I am known – even the hairs of my head are all numbered.
4. Luke 8:21, I am a member of a new family of brothers and sisters.
5. John 1:12, I am a child of God.
6. John 3:16, I am loved and I have everlasting life.
7. John 10:29, I am so secure that no one is able to snatch me out of God’s hand.
8. John 14:17, The spirit of truth dwells with me and is in me.
9. John 15:1,5, I am a branch of the true vine and a conduit of Christ’s life.
10. John 15:11, I have the joy of Christ in me.
11. John 15:15, I am a friend of Jesus.
12. Romans 3:24, I am justified and redeemed.
13. Romans 5:5, God’s love has been poured into my heart.
14. Romans 6:6, I am crucified with Christ and I am no longer a slave to sin.
15. Romans 8:1, I am not condemned by God.
16. Romans 8:2, I am free from the law of sin and death.
17. Romans 8:15, I am not in bondage to a spirit of fear.
18. Romans 8:17, I am a fellow heir with Christ, a child of God.
19. Romans 8:37, I am more than a conqueror.
20. Romans 8:39, I am so secure in God’s love that nothing can separate it.
21. Romans 15:7, I am accepted. I belong.
22. Acts 1:8, I am God’s messenger to the world.
23. 1st Cor. 1:2, I am a saint.
24. 1st Cor. 1:30, I am wise, righteous, sanctified, and redeemed.
25. 1st Cor. 6:17, I am joined to the Lord and am one spirit with him.
26. 1st Cor. 6:19, I am a temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in me.
27. 2nd Cor. 2:14, I am led in the triumph and knowledge of Christ.

49. Eph. 5:8, I am a child of the light.
50. Phil. 3:20, I am a citizen of Heaven.
51. Phil. 4:7, I have the peace of God that guards my heart and mind.
52. Phil. 4:13, I am able to do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
53. Phil. 4:19, I have all I need which is supplied by God.
54. Col. 1:12, I am qualified to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
55. Col. 1:27, I am chosen to make known how great are the riches of Christ in me, the hope of glory.
56. Col. 2:10. I am filled in Christ which makes me complete.
57. Col. 3:1, I am raised with Christ and therefore seek the things above.
58. Col. 3:12, I am the elect of God, holy, dearly loved.
59. 1st Thes. 1:3, I am inspired to do good works by my faith, to labor prompted by love and to endure in trials and suffering.
60. 1st Thes. 1:4-5, I am loved by God and chosen because the gospel has given me power, the Holy Spirit and deep conviction.
61. 1st Thes. 2:4, I am not trying to please people but God, who tests my heart.
62. 1st Thes. 2:8, Because I love others, I am delighted to share not just the gospel of God but my life as well.

64. 1st Tim. 1:5, I have a love of Christ in me, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
65. 1st Tim. 1:12, I am trustworthy, appointed by Jesus to his service.
66. 1st Tim. 1:14, I have the grace of the Lord, faith, and love that are in Christ Jesus.
67. 2nd Tim. 1:7, I don’t have a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.
68. 2nd Tim. 4:8, I have a crown of righteousness in store for me.
69. Hebrews. 6:19, I have hope anchoring my soul, firm and secure.
70. Hebrews. 7:25, I have Jesus always interceding for me.
71. James 1:18, Out of all creation, I am His prized possession!
72. 1st Pet. 1:6-7, I am an overcomer. I’ve suffered grief in all kinds of trials, but these have proven genuine faith which is worth more than gold.
73. 1st Pet. 1:13, I am alert and fully sober, with my hope set on Jesus.
74. 1st Pet. 2:9, I am part of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people – called out of darkness into his marvelous light!
75. 1 John 1:7, I am cleansed from all sin.
76. 1 John 1:12, I am forgiven.
77. 1 John 1:14, I am strong, the word of God lives in me, and I have overcome the evil one!
78. 1 John 1:20, I am anointed from the Holy One and I know the truth.
79. 1 John 1:27, I have His anointing which teaches me about all things.
80. 1 John 3:1, Great love from the father has lavished on me! I am called a child of God! It is who I am!
81. 1 John 4:4, I am from God and have overcome – the one in me is greater than the one in the world.
82. 1 John 4:10, I am loved!
83. 1 John 4:12, God lives in me and God’s love is made complete in me!
84. 1 John 5:13, If I ask anything according to his will, he hears me. And if he hears me, I know that I have what I asked of him.
85. Jude 1:24, I am kept from stumbling and will be presented without fault and with great joy.
86. Rev. 2:17, I have a white stone in heaven with my new name written on it, a name known only to me.
87. Rev. 21:7, I am God’s child and will inherit the new heaven and new earth.
88. Hebrews 12:18-28,
I have not come to a dark, gloomy, stormy mountain that is so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.” … No – I have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem; to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to God, a consuming fire, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus! To a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

Loooove this!!! I believe our kids need reminding of this daily. There seems to be such an identity crisis in so many young people today!
